Roxanne Overton

Roxanne Overton

We’re excited to welcome Portland native Roxanne Overton as our next speaker at the upcoming Portland Photographer’s Forum Zoom meeting. After decades away, Roxanne is thrilled to be back in Portland and part of the PPF community, which she describes as a wonderful and welcoming space for meeting, sharing, and discussing photography.

For Roxanne, photography is visual storytelling that extends beyond the literal. “Life is full of choices, and my work invites viewers to engage their imaginations and interpret the stories I capture,” she explains. Roxanne describes her focus as “shooting time” - specifically liminal time, the space where the past and present merge into the future.

Specializing in Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and multiple exposure techniques, Roxanne has found these styles to be powerful mediums for expressing her unique vision. Join us as she shares her journey, creative process, and the exciting possibilities of this artistic approach to photography.
